REVEALED: Kotoko, Polack agree to terms on permanent contract

Asante Kotoko have sealed terms of a permanent contract with Coach Steven Polack, Footy-Ghana.com can confirm.

The two parties have been in talks over a permanent deal in recent weeks and will sign on the dotted lines Tuesday afternoon.

Details of the agreement remain sketchy but Footy-Ghana.com is reliably informed the deal will span two years.

Polack was initially contracted by the Porcupine Warriors in May as stop-gap till the end of the season.

The 56-year-old Englishman managed to guide Kotoko to a 5th place finish at the end of the Ghana Premier League before securing an impressive 3-1 victory over arch-rivals Hearts of Oak to lift the MTN FA Cup last month.

Polack, we understand, is being tasked to conquer the domestic scene and as well lead the side to at least a group phase berth in next year’s Caf Confederation Cup campaign.

Footy-Ghana.com can also confirm that the former Berekum Chelsea gaffer will also take oversight responsibility of the about-to-be revamped Asante Kotoko youth team.
