Kotoko: Polack earns $5,000 bonus for FA Cup win

For leading the team to win the 2016/17 MTN FA Cup, Asante Kotoko Coach Steven Polack has been rewarded a $5,000 bonus.

The gaffer, who joined the Porcupine Warriors midway into the season, received his reward from club boss Dr. Kwame Kyei.

Kotoko’s Public Relations Officer Obed Acheampong confirmed the news to Nhyira FM:

“Yes, it’s true he has been paid $5000 as a way of appreciation for the good job done.”

This comes after members of the playing body received GH¢5,000 each.

Polack is also set to be rewarded a permanent contract after completing and impressing in his stop-gap role.

Meanwhile, Footy-Ghana.com understands that other members of the Kotoko technical team are also receiving GH¢2,000 each.

Asante Kotoko defeated sworn rivals Hearts of Oak 3-1 to lift their ninth FA Cup trophy. They will represent Ghana in next year’s Caf Confederation Cup.
