Official: France to host Black Queens in October 23 friendly

The France Football Federation on Monday confirmed sealing an international friendly date between Les Bleues, the French women’s team and their Ghanaian counterparts the Black Queens.

The international friendly has been slated for Monday October 23 at 20:00 GMT.

The France-Ghana game will come off at the Auguste Delaune Stadium in Reims, one of the nine venues chosen for the 2019 World Cup which will be hosted by the Europeans.

Coach Mas-Ud Dramani will be using the game to prepare his Black Queens team for the 2018 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

More games for France

In addition to the match against Ghana, Les Bleues will play three other friendly matches between October and November in preparation for the 2019 World Cup: against England October 20 in Valenciennes, against Germany, reigning Olympic champion on November 24 and against Sweden on November 27.

The French team coached by Corinne Diacre, 4th in the Fifa rankings, has the ambition to win at home her first major title, after a frustrating elimination in the quarterfinals at Euro-2017.

The France Fifa Women’s World Cup comes off from June 7 to July 7, 2019.
