#SuperClash: Players attitude perfect – Polack

Asante Kotoko head coach Steve Polack has lauded the mentality and attitude of his players after they fought back to draw against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.

The Porcupine Warriors put up a spirited performance to pick the point after sitting out close to a month without competitive football following their gory accident on July 12.

Kwame Kizito’s goal on the 60th was cancelled by Sadick Adams 20 minutes later from the spot as the game ended one all.

“The second half before they [Hearts] scored we had everything under control. They had one break and they scored,” Polack said at a post-match interview.

“I am so proud of my players for the attitude they showed in the match especially in the second half.

“I knew the first half was going to take time for the players to get into the game. Their attitude, desire and passion to come back and get a point was good. I’m very happy with that.”

The draw leaves Kotoko 4 points behind their rivals Hearts of Oak with a game in hand. The Porcupine Warriors will take on title contenders WAFA on 23rd August after their FA Cup quarter final encounter against NEA Salamina.
