Ghana’s senior male national soccer team, Black Stars will honour two preparatory matches before the Africa Nations Cup in Gabon.
The Stars have held non-residential camping training sessions in the past week and will travel to continue preparations in the United Arab Emirates on Monday for eleven days before flying to Gabon for the tournament.
Head Coach of the Black Stars, Avram Grant confirmed on Monday’s press briefing that Ghana will engage themselves in two friendly games as part of preparations towards the tournament in the Garden City of Al Ain.
“We will play two games in Abu Dhabi,” he told the media.
The team is also likely to test their strength against at least one of the nations also having their pre-tournament camping in the UAE.
The two warm-up games have been tentatively set for January 7 and 10, 2017.
In the meantime, the Israeli trainer has announced a 26-man squad for the continental showdown which spans from January 14-February 5, 2017 in Gabon. Grant has up to midnight on Thursday to cut short his list by 3 men as the final squad.
