REVEALED: Grant names 26-man pre-list for Afcon 2017 today [SEE 24 HERE]

Black Stars coach Avram Grant will name a 26-man preliminary squad for Ghana’s participation at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, Footy-Ghana has independently confirmed.

The squad, according to Footy-Ghana sources will include new faces like AIK Stockholm’s Ebenezer Ofori and in-form striking sensation Raphael Dwamena while rarely invited Manchester City attacker Yaw Yeoah gets a chance to fight for a place in the final list.

Though Grant will be announcing a 26-man prelist to embark on an intensive camping in the UAE later in the day, Footy-Ghana has managed to confirm places for 24 players.

Recently signed Enyimba FC goalkeeper Fatau Dauda looks unlikely to displace any of the recent fringe shot-stoppers Adam Kwarasey and Richard Ofori as first-choice Razak Brimah maintains his spot.

Per our list, some high profile drop outs could include Chicago Fire’s David Accam and Ghana Premier League top scorer and Player of the 2015/16 season Latif Blessing.

Coach Avram Grant will officially brief the press on his Afcon squad at the headquarters of the Ghana Football Association at 10am on Monday.

Ghana will spend close to 13 days during their Dubai camping and will likely feature in two warm-up games before the final 23-man squad heads to Port-Gentil in Gabon for the Nations Cup.

The Black Stars will face Uganda, Mali and Egypt in group D.

Below is a list of 24 players from Grant’s expected 26-man squad confirmed by Footy-Ghana:
