Prosper Ogum pleads with Kotoko fans to remain patient after third consecutive GPL defeat

Asante Kotoko Head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has called for patience from the club’s supporters following a difficult run of results in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors suffered a disappointing 1-0 loss to Bechem United in match-week 10, marking their third consecutive defeat in the league after previous losses to Legon Cities and Heart of Lions.

In a post-match interview, Ogum acknowledged the growing frustration among fans but reassured them that the team is working hard to turn things around. “Be patient with us; we will bounce back. We understand the frustration, but the team is putting in the effort to overcome these challenges and get back to winning ways,” he said.

Ogum also highlighted Asante Kotoko’s struggles in front of goal, emphasizing the need for improvement in finishing chances. With the loss, Kotoko has now slipped to 6th place in the league standings with 15 points.

Looking ahead, the coach remains optimistic as his side prepares for a crucial clash against Nations FC in their next match. Ogum’s message reflects his determination to restore confidence within the team and among fans, as the club seeks to improve its form and climb the table in the coming weeks.
