Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has expressed excitement after receiving his first-ever call-up to the senior Ghana national team for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
The 24-year-old midfielder shared his excitement on social media, describing the call-up as a “proud moment” in his career.
“Happy to receive my maiden call-up for the senior national team Black Stars. Dreams do come true,” Antwi posted on X.
Antwi will join fellow local-based players Razak Simpson and Isaac Afful as the Black Stars prepare for two important qualifying matches.
He joined Asante Kotoko in July after a challenging season with Great Olympics.
Ghana will take on Angola in Luanda on November 15, followed by a home match against Niger in Accra on November 18.
