All 8 African women’s football clubs participating in the CAF Women’s Champions League will receive at least $150,000 in prize money.
The CAF Women’s Champions League is a relatively new competition, having been established in 2021 under the leadership of Dr. Patrice Motsepe.
This year’s prize money pool has increased by 52% to a total of $2,350,000.
According to CAF, the champion of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League will receive $600,000. The runner-up will earn $400,000, while third place is worth $350,000 and fourth place is $300,000.
The third-place finisher in each group will receive $200,000, and the fourth-place finisher in each group will earn $150,000.
Africa’s football governing body is committed to developing and growing women’s football across Africa.
President Motsepe’s objective is to invest in youth academies for both boys and girls, as well as to continuously increase the prize money for all CAF competitions to make them globally competitive and attractive.
The 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League will take place in Morocco from November 9 to November 23, 2024
