Afcon 2025Q: Burundi’s Georges Gatogato to officiate Angola vs Ghana qualifier

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Georges Gatogato of Burundi to officiate the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Angola and Ghana.

Gatogato, a 36-year-old FIFA referee, will be supported by fellow Burundians Rénovat Bizumuremyi (Assistant Referee I) and Olivier Nibogora (Assistant Referee II), with Rodrigue Bigirimana serving as the Fourth Official.

Gatogato, a FIFA-listed referee since 2007, is an experienced official who has officiated in numerous CAF competitions, including the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, the Champions League, and the CAF Confederation Cup.

The match is set to take place at Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 20:00 hours.
