The Black Stars of Ghana arrived in Luanda Wednesday night to face Angola in their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

The team began its training camp on Monday with an initial squad of eight players, who participated in the first session at Accra Sports Stadium. By Tuesday, the squad had expanded to 14 players, with only Ebenezer Annan yet to report.

Following their final training session in Accra on Tuesday evening, the Black Stars visited the Dzorwulu Special School before departing for Luanda, where they are scheduled to train on Thursday, the day before the match.

In the lead-up to the fixture, Ghana’s lineup has faced notable absences.

Head coach Otto Addo opted not to include Thomas Partey in the squad, while several other players, including Inaki Williams, Antoine Semenyo, and Joseph Paintsil, have withdrawn.

The Palancas Negras, Angola’s national team, will host Ghana at Estádio 11 de Novembro, having already secured their place in the tournament.

The Black Stars will return to Ghana to conclude their qualifiers with a match against Niger at Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

Currently, Ghana sits third in Group F with two points from four matches, needing a strong finish to advance in the competition.
