Asante Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum has rallied his players to bring intensity and aggression to their upcoming match against Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors will face the Hunters this Sunday at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in a round 10 fixture.
Coming off back-to-back defeats to Legon Cities and Heart of Lions, Kotoko aims to regain momentum.
Coach Ogum highlighted the importance of a proactive approach at Bechem United’s home ground, known as one of the league’s toughest venues.
Ogum urged his squad to be efficient in front of goal, noting Bechem’s physical strength and long-ball tactics.
“They are a very strong side. Physically, they are tough, and they play a lot of long balls. We need to be aggressive both with and without the ball,” Ogum stated.
He added that the team must be prepared to maintain high energy levels throughout the game and capitalize on any scoring opportunities that arise.
“Converting chances is crucial, and we must defend any lead we secure,” he said.
Asante Kotoko currently sits in third place on the league table with 15 points from nine matches, while Bechem United occupies the 10th position with 11 points.
