Accra Hearts of Oak continued their winning streak on Friday night, claiming a 1-0 victory over Vision FC at the University of Ghana Stadium.
The match’s only goal came courtesy of 21-year-old Mawuli Wayo, who seized his opportunity after a header dropped invitingly in his path, expertly dispatching the ball into the net.
This second consecutive win propels Hearts of Oak to fourth place on the league table, now just four points off the top spot.
It follows last weekend’s notable 2-0 away victory against reigning champions Medeama in Tarkwa, a result that hinted at a return to form for the Accra giants.
Hearts of Oak will next face Karela United, while Vision FC prepares for an encounter with Dreams FC.
