We need defensive discipline to beat Sudan – Otto Addo

Head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo, has highlighted the crucial elements Ghana must focus on to secure a win against Sudan in their upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match.

The two teams will face off non Thursday, October 10, in Round 3 of the qualifiers.

Addressing the media on Wednesday, Otto Addo emphasized the importance of passion and defensive discipline as the Black Stars seek to claim all three points.

“There are many things I have to consider. We need to show passion and maintain defensive discipline to be fully prepared for any challenge.

“If we don’t address certain issues, we will continue to concede goals. I’m pleased with the progress the players have made, and hopefully, we won’t face those challenges again,” said Coach Addo.

A win against Sudan is crucial for Ghana as they aim to strengthen their position in Group F of the AFCON qualifiers.

A loss would severely impact the Black Stars’ chances of securing a spot in the 2025 tournament, set to be held in Morocco.
