Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu has earned a place in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Week, following an impressive performance in AS Monaco’s 2-2 draw on Wednesday night.
Selected by UEFA’s technical observer panel, Salisu stood out for his defensive contributions, winning two out of three ground duels and making three key interceptions.
He also found the back of the net, scoring one of Monaco’s two goals in the tightly contested match.
Salisu’s inclusion highlights his growing influence in the competition as Monaco aim to make a deep run in this season’s Champions League.
