Jordan scores, Fatawu assists as Leicester pick vital win at Southampton

Ghanaian forwards Jordan Ayew and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku were key in Leicester City’s 3-2 victory against Southampton in the English Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Foxes bagged their second triumph of the season at the St. Mary’s Stadium with Jordan netting the winner and Fatawu playing a part in one of the goals with an assist.

Cameron Archer and Joe Aribo fired the hosts ahead before half time but Gary Cooper’s side were excellent in the second half.

Facundo Bounanotte commenced the resurgence in the 64th minute, assisted by Fatawu Issahaku.

In search of the leveller, club legend Jamie Vardy converted a penalty kick in the 74th minute and Jordan left it late with his injury time finish for Leicester.

The goal marks Jordan Ayew’s first goal for Leicester in the 2024/25 English Premier League after seven matches.
