Afcon 2025Q: Tunisian referee Mehrez Melki Elki to officiate Sudan-Ghana clash

Tunisian referee Mehrez Melki Elki has been appointed as centre referee for the Matchday 4 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier between Sudan and Ghana.

The encounter is set to take place at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benina, Libya, on Monday, October 14, 2024, with kick-off scheduled for 13:00 GMT.

Elki, 37, will be supported by an all-Tunisian officiating team, featuring assistant referees Khalil Hassani and Aymen Ismail, alongside fourth official Mohamed Yousri Bouali.

Yacoub Ali Elmi from Djibouti has been named as the match commissioner, while Chad’s Waldabet Koissoual will serve as the referee assessor.

Mohamed Gremida from Libya has been appointed as the match’s security officer.

This clash comes just four days after the first leg between the two teams on Friday, October 11, at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana.
