Afcon 2025Q: Ghana coach Otto Addo has positive feeling ahead of Sudan clash

Ghana coach Otto Addo is optimistic of a win in his side’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations matchday 4 qualifier against Sudan on Tuesday.

The Black Stars were held to a goalless draw in matchday 3 of the qualifiers by the Falcons of Jediane in Accra, last Thursday and their next clash is a must-win for Otto Addo and his charges.

Ahead of the reverse fixture, Otto speaking to the GFA media, reiterated his confidence in the Black Stars, highlighting their satisfying performance in the earlier encounter.

“It’s part of football, sometimes you’re lucky, sometimes you’re unlucky. It belongs to the game, but the probability is high that you can’t be three times unlucky or lucky in a row.
“I’m sure that, like I said, if we show the same attitude towards this game and the same beliefs, we have to be mentally strong, then I’m sure we will win. The last game gives me tremendous confidence that we can do it,” coach Otto Addo said.

The Black Stars will take on Sudan in Libya with kick-off at 13:00 GMT. A defeat for Ghana will only make it extremely difficult for Ghana to play at the 2025 Afcon in Morocco.
