Afcon 2025Q: Otto Addo names Ghana squad for Sudan double-header, Djiku and Nuamah return

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has announced a 25-man squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Sudan.

Among the key inclusions is Fenerbahce defender Alexander Djiku, who has returned to full fitness after missing the previous matches against Angola and Niger due to injury.

Djiku, who was in action for his club on Thursday, is expected to bring much-needed stability to Ghana’s defence as they aim for two victories in these crucial fixtures.

Lyon winger Ernest Nuamah also makes his return after recovering from injury, alongside his Ligue 1 counterpart Gideon Mensah, who recently regained full fitness.

Ghana will host Sudan at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, 10th October, before travelling for the return leg in Sudan on 15 October.

The Black Stars are looking to secure their first win after drawing their opening two games.
