Afcon 2025Q: Caf appoints Patrice Milazar as referee for Ghana-Sudan qualifier

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected Patrice Milazar from Mauritius to officiate the 2025 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Sudan.

Milazar, 38, will lead the refereeing team for the crucial match scheduled to take place at Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, 11 October 2024, with kick-off set for 16:00 GMT.

Assisting him on the day will be Souru Phatshoane from Lesotho as Assistant Referee I, along with Mauritius’ Jean Marc Jeff Pithia as Assistant Referee II, and Ganesh Chutooree serving as the Fourth Official, also from Mauritius.

Sekou With Konneh from Liberia has been designated as the Match Commissioner, while Bechir Hassani from Tunisia will take up the role of Referee Assessor.

The security of the event will be overseen by Nigeria’s Okey Sylvanus Sylvanus Obi, who has been appointed Security Officer.

The match marks the third round of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON tournament, with both teams aiming for a vital win to boost their chances of reaching the final competition in Côte d’Ivoire.
