2024 Caf Awards: Dreams FC among nominees for Male Club of the Year after impressive debut

Ghana’s Dreams FC have been nominated for the prestigious Male Club of the Year award at the 2024 CAF Awards, marking a significant milestone in the club’s history.

The announcement was made by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday.

The nomination comes after Dreams FC’s remarkable run in the CAF Confederation Cup, where they reached the semi-finals in their debut appearance on the continental stage.

Despite being eliminated by Egyptian giants Zamalek, who went on to win the tournament, the Ghanaian side’s performance has earned widespread recognition.

Dreams FC will now compete for the top club honour against some of Africa’s biggest names, including Atletico Petroleos, Young Africans, Simba SC, TP Mazembe, Zamalek, Mamelodi Sundowns, ES Tunis, RS Berkane, and current African champions Al Ahly.

The CAF Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on 16 December 2024 in Marrakech, Morocco.
