Nyaho Tamakloe urges patience with coach Aboubakar Ouattara amid poor Hearts of Oak results

Accra Hearts of Oak Board member, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, wants the club’s supporters to remain patient with coach Aboubakar Ouattara, despite the team’s challenging start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.

Hearts of Oak have suffered defeats in their first two matches, losing to newly promoted Basake Holy Stars and Heart of Lions.

The two losses have led to growing dissatisfaction among the fans, with some calling for the coach’s dismissal.

Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe emphasized that it is too early to pass judgment on Ouattara’s performance, urging supporters to give the coach time to build a strong team.

He drew parallels to Manchester United’s current struggles, pointing out that even major clubs need time to rebuild.

“I am not worried about the team’s current form. All I will tell the supporters is that they should just take their time.

“We are building a team, and that process takes time,” Nyaho told Angel FM in an interview.

“Look at Manchester United. They are losing matches, but you can see Erik ten Hag is building something. I want us to take a similar approach.”

Hearts of Oak currently sit at the bottom of the league table and play Bechem United in their next fixture.

Furthermore, the game will be played at an adopted venue as the Accra Sports Stadium is closed for maintenance.
