Joseph Paintsil’s thoughts on MLS record achievement with LA Galaxy

Black Stars winger Joseph Paintsil has hailed the LA Galaxy’s record-setting achievement in Major League Soccer (MLS), describing it as “amazing.”

Paintsil’s comments came after the Galaxy became the first team in MLS history to have four players score at least 10 goals in a single season.

The historic milestone was reached during the Galaxy’s 4-2 victory over the Vancouver Whitecaps, a match in which Paintsil netted his 10th goal of the season.

Teammates Gabriel Pec and Riqui Puig also found the back of the net to bring their goal tallies into double digits, while Dejan Joveljic, with 14 goals this season, completed the quartet responsible for the record-breaking feat.

Reflecting on his impressive achievement of scoring double digits in his debut season, Paintsil expressed gratitude to the Galaxy’s technical team.

“Kudos to the technical team, kudos to everyone involved in bringing us together as a team. We did it as a team, and it’s really an amazing thing that the four of us have 10+ goals.”

“It’s a huge boost for us. This will give us the confidence to push for more and to cement our place in the history of LA Galaxy.”

The achievement further strengthens the Galaxy’s campaign as they aim to finish the season on a high note.
