Joseph Asare-Bediako: Young Apostles gaffer praises tactical approach against Asante Kotoko

Young Apostles Head coach, Joseph Asare-Bediako, has lauded his team’s tactical discipline after their impressive 1-1 draw against Asante Kotoko in their Match-week 3 clash of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.

The newly-promoted side took the lead at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium through Daniel Lomotey, putting the Porcupine Warriors on the back foot.

However, Emmanuel Antwi’s late strike salvaged a point for Kotoko, denying Young Apostles a memorable victory in Kotoko’s first home fixture of the season.

After the match, Asare-Bediako expressed satisfaction with his side’s performance, emphasizing their superior tactical execution.

“We were fully prepared to face Asante Kotoko head-on,” he said. “Our tactics worked perfectly, and tactically, we were the better team.

“Now we have to improve our goalscoring and movement and I believe the boys have the quality to compete in the league.”

Young Apostles will look to build on this result when they host Aduana Stars at the Wenchi Sports Stadium in their next fixture.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko will aim for their second win of the season as they travel to face Berekum Chelsea at the Golden City Park in Match-week 4.
