Accra Lions announce free stadium entry for women and kids on GPL match-days

Accra Lions Football Club has introduced a new fan-friendly initiative, offering free entry to women and children under 15 for all home games in the Ghana Premier League.

This effort is designed to expand the club’s fanbase, boost interest in local football, and enhance community involvement.

The policy takes effect this Saturday, 28th September 2024, during Accra Lions’ home match against Nsoatreman FC at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon.

Women and children in the specified age group can attend the match without purchasing tickets, while regular ticket prices will apply to all other fans.

Accra Lions are hoping this initiative will strengthen ties with their supporters as they aim for their first win of the season following two losses and a draw.

Despite a tough start to the 2024/25 season, the club remains hopeful of improving their performance and drawing in new supporters to cheer them on.

The youngsters have lost two and drawn one in the first three games of the GPL campaign.

Medeama pipped them 1-0 on match-week onr in Tarkwa and they lost 2-0 at home to newly-promoted outfit Vision FC. Their recent game was a trip to Nalerigu, resulting in a 1-1 draw with Karela United.
