Wafu B’ Caf WCL: Hasaacas Ladies switch focus to AS Garde clash

Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies assistant coach Emmanuel Kwesi Mensah is switching his team’s focus to the last group stage game of the Wafu B’ Women’s Champions League qualifier against AS Garde Nationale.

The gaffer spoke after their 3-0 defeat to Nigerian giants Edo Queens in their second game at the Stade de la Paix in Bouake. Hasmal had earlier drawn their first match 0-0 against Omnisports Etincelle

.

Moving into the last game with one point, after two games in the group, the Ghanaian side will need to win against their Niger opponents in their last game.

A task, Mensah has charged the team to focus on to boost any chance of qualifying to the knockout stages.

“Football can be chaotic sometimes. When you concede and fail to respond in the attacking and defensive phases, you end up conceding more and that’s what happened to us.

“Now we are switching our focus to the last group game and we have to win. It’s a competition and we need to win in the last game.”

Omnisports Etincelle defeated AS Garde 6-1 in the other group fixture.

Hasaacas will now have to defeat AS Garde by more than eight goals and hope Omnisports loses to Edo Queens.
