Feyenoord sign Ibrahim Osman on loan from Brighton

Dutch Eredivisie giants Feyenoord have announced the signing of Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Osman on a season-long loan from English Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 19-year-old, known for his speed and agility, is expected to bolster Feyenoord’s attacking options this season.

“Youth players get the opportunity to develop at Feyenoord,” Osman said, explaining his decision to join the Dutch club.

“Playing here will help me refine aspects of my game, and I aim to use my abilities to help the team achieve success both in the Eredivisie and in European competitions.”

Born in Accra, Ghana’s capital, in 2004, Osman began his football journey with local club Strong Tower before joining the Right to Dream Academy.

In early 2023, he was signed by Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, where he played 54 matches, scoring 10 goals and providing 8 assists over a year and a half. His performances caught the attention of Brighton & Hove Albion, who signed him before loaning him to Feyenoord.

Osman will wear the number 38 jersey for the Rotterdam-based club.

The twice-capped Ghana international, who made his senior debut for the national team in March 2024, is currently awaiting the issuance of his combined residence and work permit by the authorities, which will make him eligible to play for Feyenoord.
