Fatawu Issahaku makes EPL impact with assist in Leicester-Tottenham draw

Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has marked a milestone in his career, registering his first assist in the English Premier League as Leicester City secured a 1-1 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.

The 21-year-old, who is making his debut in the Premier League this season, provided a crucial assist in the 57th minute.

Issahaku, operating from the right wing, delivered a precise left-footed cross that found an unmarked Jamie Vardy, who calmly slotted in the equaliser.

Leicester City, recently promoted back to the Premier League after their relegation in the 2022-2023 season, faced a challenging encounter against Spurs. Tottenham dominated much of the game, taking the lead in the 29th minute through a Pedro Porro header.

Issahaku’s contribution was pivotal for Leicester, who struggled to find opportunities against a formidable Tottenham side.

The draw offers some hope for the Foxes, who are looking to re-establish themselves in the top flight.

Last season, Issahaku played a key role in Leicester’s Championship-winning campaign while on loan from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon.

The young Ghanaian star impressed with seven goals and 13 assists, helping Leicester return to the Premier League.

With this latest performance, Issahaku has shown he can make an impact at the highest level, and Leicester fans will be hoping for more from the talented winger as the season progresses.
