Brandon Thomas-Asante dreams of Premier League football after Coventry City debut

Brandon Thomas-Asante has expressed his ambition to play in the English Premier League, believing that his recent move to Coventry City will help him achieve this goal.

The Ghanaian forward made his debut in a 2-1 defeat to Werder Bremen over the weekend, a warm-up match for Coventry’s 2024-2025 season opener against Stoke City on August 10.

Having recently joined Coventry from West Bromwich Albion on a four-year deal, the 25-year-old is eager to make an impact at his new club.

Reflecting on his debut, Asante emphasized on his ambitions to play in the Premier League with City.

“Goals and excitement. Moments. I love to be expressive and instinctive. I am playing freely, which is something the manager will allow me to do. I am super excited.

“I have always had my eyes on the Premier League. I feel like coming here will put me in that position. That is the task for the team and the club…we are going to make it happen.”

Brandon Thomas-Asante bagged 11 goals in 39 matches for the West Bromwich in last season’s Championship.
