Baba Yara Stadium pitch is worrying for us and how we play – Otto Addo

Black Stars Head Coach, Otto Addo has pointed out the poor quality of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium pitch ahead of their Afcon qualifiers.

Ghana plays Angola and Niger in early September for slots to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking at the squad announcement for the international games, Otto lamented the poor state of the Baba Yara Stadium pitch as a problem for their style of play.

“We are concerned about the pitch due to our style of play. We can only hope for the best of turf when we get to Kumasi.

“However, we will be ready because we need the points and we want to win every game we play.”

Ghana plays Angola on September 5 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Niger and Sudan conclude Ghana’s group for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
