FC Samartex will face a formidable challenge in the 2024/25 Caf Champions League group stage playoff round in Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic.
The Ghana Premier League champions, who advanced with a 2-0 aggregate win over Victoria United, will host Raja in the first leg between September 13-15 in Ghana.
The return leg is scheduled for September 20-22 in Morocco.
Raja Club Athletic, a three-time Caf Champions League winner, secured their place in the playoff round with a dominant 7-1 aggregate victory over Niger’s ASGNN.
FC Samartex will need to be at their best to overcome this hurdle and secure one of the 16 coveted spots in the group stage, commonly referred to as the “money zone.”
With a place in Africa’s elite club competition on the line, Samartex will be looking to capitalize on their home advantage in the first leg before facing the daunting task of playing in Casablanca in the decisive second leg.
