Addressing the club’s supporters and stakeholders, Togbe Afede acknowledged the challenges faced last season, where Hearts of Oak narrowly avoided relegation with a 14th-place finish. Despite these challenges, he emphasized the club’s unwavering dedication to improving its squad and infrastructure.

“Management is committed, and the board is committed to assembling the best squad possible,” Togbe Afede stated. “Sometimes it takes time because some constraints are beyond your control. You may want a player who is not available… To ensure that professionally we are solid, management-wise we are solid, and in terms of players, we are solid.”

Togbe further highlighted the club’s holistic approach to strengthening all aspects of football.

“We are happy that we are building strengths across all the sectors of football. It’s a gradual process and we are confident.”

With the new season on the horizon, Hearts of Oak will start their 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign with a home match against Basake Holy Stars.
