“I am thrilled to sign with the biggest club in Ghana” – Tenadu on joining Kotoko

New Asante Kotoko signing, Samuel Tenadu is already making waves with his bold declaration about joining the record 23-time league champions.

The 21-year-old defensive midfielder has signed a three-year deal, further strengthening the club’s squad for the upcoming season.

Originally from Obuasi, Tenadu honed his skills with Ebony FC in Kumasi.

Last season, he made a significant impact with Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League (GPL), making 30 appearances and earning multiple man-of-the-match awards.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the move, Tenadu said, “I am thrilled to sign with the biggest club in Ghana.”

“Having spent a lot of time in Kumasi during my early football years, this feels like coming home. I am eager to get going.”

Tenadu’s confident remarks are sure to ruffle feathers among rival clubs. His assertion underscores Kotoko’s storied legacy and their unyielding dominance in Ghanaian football.

Tenadu becomes the 11th player to join Kotoko in this transfer window. The club’s aggressive recruitment strategy includes notable signings like goalkeeper Mohammed Camara, left-backs Patrick Asiedu and Esmat Abdulhamid Mohamed, strikers AbdoelKarem AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub and Elvis Kyei Baffour, midfielder Emmanuel Antwi, centre-backs Gilbani Samba and Joseph Ablorh, winger Dauda Saaka, and striker Albert Amoah.

With their latest acquisitions, Asante Kotoko is clearly aiming to maintain their supremacy in Ghanaian football, much to the chagrin of their competitors.
