Ghana U-20’s Emmanuel Mensah begins two-week trials with Sogndal IF

Promising Ghana winger Emmanuel Mensah has begun a two-week trial with Norwegian top-flight side Sogndal IF.

The 19-year-old currently plays for Semper Fi in the Ghana Division One League and is part of Ghana’s U-20 national team. He was a key player in the Black Satellites’ gold medal win at the 2023 African Games.

“Emmanuel Mensah, born in 2005, is currently on trial! He is a fast winger from Ghana who is part of Ghana’s U20 national team,” Sogndal IF announced on their social media on Monday.

For the next two weeks, Mensah will have the opportunity to showcase his abilities in training sessions.

“During his 14 days in Sogndal, he will get to showcase his qualities in training! Feel free to come to Fosshaugadn to see him and the rest of the team in action!,” the club added.

Sogndal IF is currently home to Ghanaian players Isaac Twum, a midfielder, and Jamal Haruna, a recent summer acquisition.

The club hopes Mensah’s trial will prove successful, potentially adding another talented player to their squad
