GFA Prez Kurt Okraku happy with consistent league scheduling in five-year tenure

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Okraku has praised the FA for maintaining consistent scheduling across the various leagues since he assumed office.

Now in his fifth year as President, Okraku noted that the leagues have remained uninterrupted since the COVID-induced suspension of the first season under his tenure.

Four champions have been crowned in the Ghana Premier League and Women’s League, with no interruptions to the competitions.

Okraku believes his administration deserves recognition for ensuring the smooth running of the championships as scheduled.

In an interview on Asempa FM, he stated, “But one thing that we should be proud of as an FA is the fact that we have been very consistent in our programming.

“We have kept all our leagues on schedule. Over four and a half seasons, five seasons, all our leagues have started on time and have ended as announced.

“This is a big plus for our football and it’s a big plus for everybody who has worked in the football ecosystem because it’s taken a collective effort by our club owners, our club executives, our chairmen, from the GPL, from the DOL, from the WPL to work together in sync with the right levels of performance.”
