Mohammed Kudus confident Ghana will qualify for 2026 Fifa World Cup

Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus exudes confidence as he speaks about Ghana’s aspirations to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

Ahead of their crucial match against the Central African Republic later today, the West Ham midfielder shared his thoughts with the media.

Kudus on the importance of World Cup qualification:

“The belief has always been there, even though it hasn’t shown in our recent games. Our ultimate goal is to reach the World Cup. Whatever we need to do to achieve that, we are committed to it.

“Our coach has his philosophy and style of play, but some matches require us to win the hard way. The most important thing is securing the three points because every game matters, and that is our ultimate goal.”

Kudus on handling pressure:

“From our perspective, we have personal goals and intrinsic pressure from our own expectations. Additionally, we represent the entire team and all of Ghana, so there is pressure from every angle.

“However, our motivation and aim to qualify for the World Cup drive us to perform under pressure.”

Currently, the Black Stars are third in Group I. A victory against the Central African Republic tonight would propel them to the top of the table, bolstering their chances of reaching the 2026 World Cup.
