2026 WCQ: Black Stars focused on CAR, a tough challenge – Otto Addo

Ghana Head coach Otto Addo says his side have switched their focus on the next 2026 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Central African Republic in Kumasi.

The Black Stars, after notching a vital 2-1 triumph over Mali on Thursday evening are poised to maintain their winning form, playing at home against CAR.

Ahead of the match, Otto admits a tough challenge ahead at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday June 10.

“We will now be expected to win, which makes the game against the Central African Republic even more difficult. And we must be ready for the opponent.

“In this game, I chose this system. In another game, I might choose a different system. Mali and the Central African Republic play differently

“And that’s why I might choose a different system. At home, we have our fans and I must commend our travelling supporters for the love.”

Ghana are second in Group I with 6 points as leaders Comoros play Madagascar on Friday.
