Young Apostles FC clinched a dramatic promotion to the Ghana Premier League(GPL) after a gripping 4-3 penalty shootout win against Techiman Heroes at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Division One League Zone 1 title match victory is a significant milestone for the team from the Bono Region.

The match began on an electrifying note with Kassim Sule putting Young Apostles ahead in the 8th minute.
Sule’s early goal set the tone for what would be a fiercely competitive encounter.
However, Techiman Heroes responded resiliently, with Mohammed Adams leveling the score in the 41st minute, ensuring the teams went into the half-time break on equal footing.
The second half saw both sides creating numerous chances, yet neither could convert these opportunities into goals. As the match progressed into extra time, the deadlock persisted, leading to a penalty shootout to determine the winner.
In the tense shootout, Young Apostles held their nerve, triumphing 4-3 and claiming the coveted Zone 1 League title.
This victory secures their place in the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League and will be joined by Vision FC, who have also secured promotion for the upcoming season.
