Accra Hearts of Oak secured a magnificent away victory with a resounding 0-3 win against Berekum Chelsea at the Berekum Golden City Park in match-week 29 of the Ghana Premier League.
Hamza Issah kicked things off with an incredible goal in the 23rd minute, marking his 12th goal of the season.
Then, in the 59th minute, Linda Mtange, the talented Congolese midfielder, found the back of the net. And to seal the deal, Kassim Cissey scored a goal in the 83rd minute, with an assist from Hamza Issah.
In a post-match interview, Coach Alhassan Outtara expressed his excitement after the game.
He mentioned that the team felt more confident going into this match because he focused on working on the boys’ psychological aspect. And it seems like his efforts paid off, as they were able to create some magic on the field.
The gaffer commended the entire team. He firmly believes in not singling out players for applause because he values the importance of teamwork in football. In his eyes, everything revolves around the collective effort of the team.
“Today we feel much better. It was a psychological issue, but now the boys have begun to comprehend that there were individuals attempting to pollute the player’s mind.”
About Goalkeeper Nketia and other players: “We have a team where I don’t focus on individuals. Anyone can join; it’s like the Army. If you’re not there, someone else can step in. We have the talent and our goal is to nurture this talent and take it to the next level.”
On his next game against Aduana: “We’ve been considering Aduana. We’ll review the photos and films and strategize accordingly. At the moment, I can’t reveal anything specific, but our main goal is to secure maximum points to ensure our survival.”
Accra Heart of Oak has made a move in the Ghana Premier League standings. They are now in 11th position with 38 points, just two points behind their bitter rivals, Asante Kotoko, who are currently in 10th place.
The Phobians will be hosting Aduana at home on match week 30 of the Ghana Premier League.
