Ghana had slow defenders and a struggling goalkeeper – Nigeria’s Manu Garba

Nigeria Head Coach, Manu Garba has expressed  joy following the win against Ghana in the U-17 Wafu Zone B 3rd place game.

The Golden Eaglets triumphed with a 3-2 victory at the University of Ghana Stadium as both teams showcased so much zeal and promise, culminating in a dramatic finish.

In the dying moments of the game, deep into added time with the game tied at 2-2, Adeleke found the net.

His decisive goal secured a 3-2 victory for Nigeria and a spot in next year’s continental finals.

“Today is one of my best moments in life. I am proud of my boys.

“I realized Ghana’s goalkeeper struggles with ball handling, and their centre backs were a bit slow, so we capitalized on that,” Garba said.

Nigeria will now prepare for the continental task ahead in their quest to qualify for the Fifa U17 World Cup.
