Dont single me out, the whole team is under pressure to deliver – Hearts coach Abubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak Coach Abubakar Ouattara admitted Asante Kotoko were the better side after losing 2-0 to the Porcupines on Sunday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The two giants steered up in match week 31 of the Ghana Premier League, The Porcupines colored the Golden City red with an enchanting win against the Phobians.

Stephen Mukwala set the tempo early giving the Reds the lead in the 8th minute, Kotoko maintained the lead through to the 90th minute, and just in stoppage time, the Ugandan international doubled the lead which puts him to 14 goals in the campaign.

The Phobian tactician asserts his side did not show up to the task and commended Kotoko for such a performance.

“That is the reality of football when you can not score and do not play well, the opponent takes the chance.

“Kotoko had a good side today, I congratulate them, we played badly once again. I had a different mindset before the match but when the game started I realized Kotoko deserved the win.”

Coach Outtara emphasized there is no pressure on him personally but pressure on the entire team due to recent performances and their positioning on the league log with relegation threatening his side.

“I am not under pressure, the team is rather under pressure, do not single me out, it is the entire team under pressure because we need the points to survive.

“We have no option than to win and get points in our three remaining games, this can be achieved by scoring and playing a simple game.”

Kotoko climbs up to 9th with 43 points after 31 matches played and will host Great Olympics at Baba Yara.

Hearts is 14th on the league log with 38 points two just above the relegation zone, They host Nations in match week 32.
