Should Mohammed Kudus replace Mo Salah at Liverpool?

Former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has entered the conversation about Mohamed Salah’s future by suggesting that Mohammed Kudus could be the one to fill Salah’s boots at Anfield.

Although Liverpool rejected offers for Salah last year, speculation is growing that new bids could emerge this summer, potentially leading to his departure and leaving a notable gap in Liverpool’s squad.

Enrique, speaking to Grosvenor Sport, remarked, “Mohammed Kudus is someone who I think could fill Salah’s shoes. Even last summer, I would have said that, and now he’s performing admirably for West Ham.

“You could also consider someone like Ebere Eze from Crystal Palace, but there’s a shortage of obvious replacements out there.”

Salah, 31, has been in stellar form for Liverpool this season, notching 17 goals and nine assists in 26 Premier League appearances.

Amid uncertainties about his long-term future at Liverpool, with his contract expiring in 2025, it remains to be seen whether he will remain with the Premier League giants next season.

Kudus, who was linked with Chelsea and Manchester United last summer before joining West Ham in a £38 million deal, has enjoyed a remarkable debut season in the Premier League, contributing to 22 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions.

His potential addition could prove pivotal for Liverpool in the upcoming season.
