Hearts coach Abubakar Outtara expresses displeasure in loss to Legon Cities

After suffering a 2-0 defeat against Legon Cities in the Ghana Premier League, Hearts of Oak Coach Abubakar Ouattara expressed anger over his team’s display.

Legon Cities’ Albert Yeboah’s double sealed the win at Dawu, leaving Hearts of Oak struggling in the GPL mid-spots.

The Phobians won match-week 26 against Karela United and were expected to continue with another triumph but they failed at Sogakope.

Ouattara expressed his disappointment with his team’s performance, citing poor adherence to tactics and defensive lapses as key issues.

“We played a very bad game today; our lack of concentration and defensive errors continue to haunt us. This has been a recurring issue for us,” Ouattara lamented.

Addressing concerns about the goalkeeping department, he admitted, “We do have challenges in that area, not just with our goalkeeping but also our center-backs. We are making do with the resources we have.”

Hearts of Oak’s position has slipped to 11th in the league standings, tallying 35 points after match-week 27.

Their next challenge will be a city derby against Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium in match-week 28.
