Great Olympics head coach Jimmy Cobblah has expressed disappointment at refereeing decisions in their 2023/24 Ghana Premier League game against Nations FC.
The Dade Boys lost 1-0 courtesy Razak Simpson’s late freekick in the second half of the match-week 24 fixture at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium.
Cobblah, speaking in an interview after the game, highlighted the referee’s performance as dissatisfactory to his team.
“The referee came to win for them. Right from the beginning I came to the match commissioner, and I told the fourth referee that he had declared his intentions too early, it’s unacceptable.
“Unacceptable refereeing today, but the important thing is the whole world has seen our boys, our tactics worked.
“We stopped the supplies of their striker Asamoah Frimpong, and they had to substitute him. It’s the referee that caused the defeat.”
Nations, 1st on the league table with 43 points visits RTU in game week 25. They will await the result from the Samartex game whether they get to hold on to the top spot.
Olympics with 31 points is in 11th position and hosts Bechem United in their next game.
