Franck Mbella urges Kotoko fans to back team amid difficult spell

Former Asante Kotoko striker, Franck Mbella Etouga, has urged the club’s fans not to desert the team amidst the current challenges.

Etouga, currently on loan at El Gouna from Al Masry, has implored supporters to maintain their unwavering support for the club.

“I have been monitoring what is happening in Kotoko, even though I am not there, but I still follow the club every week when they play.”

Under Head Coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, the Porcupine Warriors are enduring a difficult period in the Ghana Premier League, having lost six of their last seven matches.

However, amidst the adversity, Etouga remains optimistic about Kotoko’s future, emphasizing that setbacks are part of the game.

“The situation now normally happens because this is football. And sometimes it can be good, but now is a bad time,” Etouga reflected.

“I just want all the supporters to stay calm, and I beg them not to neglect the team because this team is one of the best in Africa, and it will never, ever go down.”

As of now, the team from Kumasi holds the 11th position in the Ghana Premier League standings after playing 26 matches.

Their next game is against league leaders Samartex at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
