Ghana’s Dreams FC held Egyptian giant Zamalek to a hard-fought 0-0 draw in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup semi-final in Cairo on Sunday.
Dreams FC showcased their mettle on the pitch, despite being cast as underdogs against Zamalek, a team with a rich history including 11 CAF titles across four competitions since 1984.

Throughout the match, Zamalek dominated play, backed by a passionate crowd, yet they struggled to convert their opportunities into goals.
Zamalek had 25 goal attempts, only six found the target. Dreams FC, on the other hand, waited until the 84th minute to register their first shot on goal, a subdued effort from Abdul Aziz Issah.

Dreams FC will host the return leg at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on April 28, aiming to carve their name in history as the first Ghanaian team to win a CAF club competition since Hearts of Oak claimed the inaugural Confederation Cup title in 2004.
