We failed to convert our chances against Nations FC – Nurudeen Amadu

Samartex head coach Nurudeen Amadu has expressed displeasure in their loss to Nations FC on Monday morning.

The Timber giants’ unbeaten run at home came to an end as Nafiu Sulemana scored in first half to secure a 1-0 victory for the visitors at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex.

Nations’ pursuit for top-four football continues and the vital win away is a good step.

For Samartex, Amadu believes they failed to convert their chances and that caused their defeat.

“Luck evaded us and n games like this, it’s important. Nothing worked for us in terms of conversion but you could see we created numerous chances.”

“For us to hit the post on more than three occasions shows we had no luck today.”

He added, “I will not talk about the defeat, what is ahead is what we should focus on.

“It’s our first loss at home this season, it hurts but let’s move on.”

Samartex stay on top of the league log with 35 points whiles Nations FC goes up 4th position with 30 points and a game in hand.
