Black Stars of Ghana coach Otto Addo has reacted to his first game since his return to the job.
The men’s senior national team played Nigeria in Marrakech, Morocco, losing 2-1 on Friday, March 22.
In an end to end action from both teams, the deadlock was broken in the 38th minute by Cyriel Dessers from the penalty spot.
Ademola Lookman, in the 84th minute, extended the lead for the Nigerians before the Ghanaians reduced the deficit to a one-goal difference from the penalty spot by Jordan Ayew in the additional minutes of the second half.
In a game where there were much positives from the Ghanaian side despite the loss, Coach Otto Addo disregards the positives as he claims the results is what is needed.
“I don’t like to look too much at the positives because we lost, at the end it’s the results, we lost.”
On Tuesday, 26th of March 2024, Black Stars plays against Uganda. Coach Addo admits it would be a difficult encounter.
“If the boys think Uganda would be an easy game then they are wrong, Uganda is very good I have watched them a little bit before now.
“They have good players and we would need to have a good plan if we want to win this game.”
