Mohammed Kudus to Miss Ghana’s International Friendlies Due to Shoulder Injury

West Ham United’s attacking midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, has been ruled out of Ghana’s upcoming friendly matches against Nigeria and Uganda due to a shoulder injury. The 23-year-old, who has been an integral part of the Black Stars squad, picked up the injury during West Ham’s 1-1 draw against Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday.

Kudus, who has scored 11 goals in 32 appearances for the Black Stars, will be unavailable for the upcoming international window as he recovers from the shoulder discomfort. He joins the list of absentees, including Thomas Partey, Gideon Mensah, Nathaniel Adjei, and Elisha Owusu, who will also miss the friendly matches.

In light of these absences, the technical team led by Otto Addo has called up Ghana Premier League defender Nurudeen Abdulai, Ebenezer Annan, Forson Amankwaah, Baba Iddrisu, Francis Abban, Osman Bukari, and Jerome Opoku to bolster the squad.

The Black Stars are scheduled to face Nigeria on Friday, March 22, 2024, and Uganda on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, as part of their international friendly fixtures.
