Hearts 2-1 Lions: Ouattara remains unbeaten as Phobia continues league pursuit

Hearts of Oak pulled off an incredible 2-1 victory against Hearts of Lions in match-week 22 of the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Heart of Oak has been absolutely on fire in the second round of the league under Coach Abubakar Outtara’s leadership. They remain unbeaten with the Burkinabe gaffer.

Heart of Oak went on searching for the second goal as they had a counter-attack where Linda Mtange lobbed the ball to Kasim Cisse, who held off the defender and laid it off to Salim Adams.

Salim then powered a long drive and Lions goalkeeper Ebenezer Osae parried the ball back into play for Linda who slotted in the rebound on the 63rd minute.

Heart of Oak’s impressive victory has propelled them to the 7th position with 32 points, The Phobians have a big match coming up against Samartex.

On the other hand, Heart of Lions is currently in the relegation zone with 21 points, just above the last team in the league, RTU. Lions will be up against Bibiani Goldstars at Kpando in their next game.
